We’re friends and partners. We share a passion for good design.
Our story starts with a Seattle-based furniture manufacturer named Brandrud, where our paths crossed. Brandrud was a contract furniture business known for its focus on design and innovation. In 2008, Herman Miller acquired Brandrud, and integrated the company into their Emerging Market business.
Our time together at Brandrud illuminated the potential of our like-minded desire to do something great. Following the Herman Miller years, and respective career moves and experiences, the idea of founding a new design brand migrated from dream, to possibility, to reality, and in 2018 we reconvened and founded Memo.
Memo embodies our shared passion to blend a lifestyle, our experience, and our love for good design, into a memorable design brand. Our name, Memo, is shorthand for this vision, and proudly represents our intent to all of us, and to our customers.
